John Thomas Zeldam

John Thomas Zeldam, age 83 of Sterling Heights, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2022.

John was born on December 23, 1938 to Frank and Myrtle Zeldam in Grand Rapids, Michigan. John was an incredibly hard worker and provider for his family, owning his own insurance adjusting business, John T. Zeldam Company, for nearly 30 years. John had a strong faith, and his church and ministry was very important. He spent many years working and inspiring many as a youth minister, was apart of the Chrysalis, Spokesmen, and Recyclers youth ministries. In his free time, John enjoyed learning and researching his family’s genealogy and history. However, the most important thing in John’s life was his family and the time he was able to spend with them all.

John is survived by many beloved family members, and countless friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at Shelby Bible Church in Shelby Twp. Instate, or gathering time, 10:00 AM. Funeral service at 11:00 AM.

John will be laid to rest on Monday, May 23rd at Kirk Memorial Cemetery with a service prior at Rainsville 1st Baptist Church in Rainsville, Alabama. Times for funeral service and burial to be updated soon.
