Obituary
Joel “Mike” Michael Scieszka, age 46 of New Haven, gained his wings on July 1, 2023.
Mike was born on December 18, 1976 to loving parents Michael and Susan Scieszka in East Lansing, Michigan. He would go on to grow up in the Lansing area, and proudly attended Michigan State University (Go Spartans!) where he earned his master’s degree. Mike would meet the love of his life, and future wife, Bobbie Jo Goetz. They married on April 15, 2011 in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by all their loved ones. Together, Mike and Bobbie would raise five beloved children: Gabriella, Clark, Naomi, Sterling, and Della. Family truly meant the world to Mike, and he treasured being a dad. The time he got to spend with his family was his most cherished. He had a passion and appreciation for music and loved attending concerts. He enjoyed playing chess, poker, pool, basketball and staying active. Mike will be forever remembered by all who love him.
Beloved husband of Bobbie Scieszka; proud father of Gabriella, Clark, Naomi, Sterling, and Della; cherished son of Michael and Susan Scieszka; loved brother of Kathryn (Dr. Steven) Morozowich. Mike is also survived by many loving family and friends.
Visitation to take place on Friday, July 7 from 2:00PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral service on Saturday, July 8 at the funeral home. Instate, or gathering time, 10:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM.
