With heavy hearts but very fond memories we announce the passing of our dearest sister and Auntie, Joanne Mary Vollmer who joined heaven on September 20, 2025 peacefully comfortable at home.
Joanne’s heart was big for family, friends, and animals. Every animal needed a hug and a little sneaky food underneath the table. And the food didn’t stop with household pets. Birds, squirrels, etc. were not exempt from this love. Her spirit will for sure live on in the nature you see around you.
This Auntie had a card for everything! The occasion didn’t matter. All holidays, birthdays, first day of school, concerts, plays, maybe even because it’s Saturday! You got a card with at least a few crisp bills in it.
She enjoyed office work and after many good opportunities she was fortunate enough to spend her last years before retirement working alongside her sister at American Power Boat Association where she fit right in with the work family.
Cherished sister of Gloria (Vollmer) Urbin. Loving Auntie to Jeanine (Urbin) Bellman, David Vollmer, and Nicole (Vollmer) Nelson. Loving Great-Auntie to Madison Bellman, Savannah Bellman, Sofia Summers, and Nicole Summers. And survived by many loving family members.
She is joined in heaven by her loving parents Edwin & Josephine Vollmer, loving brothers Bob Vollmer & Tommy Vollmer, and some very close relatives and friends.
