JoAnn Carol Varriale, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2020.
JoAnn was born on June 28, 1939 to Paul and Mary Bottini in Detroit, Michigan. As a young woman, she met and married the love of her life, Ronald Varriale. Together they raised two children: David and Debbie. JoAnn had many hobbies that she loved during her life, including fishing on Dickinson Island, playing board games, puzzles, and crafting. She was especially gifted at crocheting and sewing. JoAnn also loved to bake and had a deep love for animals. JoAnn will be forever remembered by all who knew her.
Beloved wife of the late Ronald Varriale, Loving mother of David (Jackie) Varriale, Debbie (Steve) Amoroso, and dearest grandmother to Samantha (Blake) Siebert, Holly Amoroso, Paige Amoroso, and Ally Amoroso; cherished sister to George (Eileen) Bottini, and Fran (Bill) Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 14 from 2-7PM. Funeral Mass will be held the following day, December 15, at St. Veronica Catholic Church in Eastpointe. Gathering time will be at 9:30 am, service at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
