It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Jiles, a beloved mother, “Grammy”, sister, and friend, who departed this life on March 5, 2025. Jean was a remarkable woman whose passion for life and love for her family were evident in everything she did.
Survived by her devoted children, Scott Jiles (Joy) and Shelley Lee, Jean was a cherished matriarch, known for her unwavering support and kindness. She valued relationships and made others feel loved. What was important to her loved ones, became important to her.
Jean delighted in spending precious moments with her family especially her grandchildren. She attended hockey games and soccer games, races, dramas, musicals and band concerts to show support to her family. She expressed love with quality of time spent and her ability to give the most thoughtful gifts.
Jean was very easy to talk to and could make friends with anyone. Her warm spirit shone brightly through her love for reading, as she found joy in the pages of her favorite books and attending her Book Club gatherings.
She also loved the Lord and His light shined through her. She enjoyed attending weekly services at her home church St. Kieran.
A true lover of life, Jean also enjoyed baking, shopping, traveling, and challenging herself with trivia and crossword puzzles. Her inquisitive mind and her radiant smile could light up a room, making every gathering a memorable occasion.
Jean is survived by her children; Scott Jiles (Joy) and Shelley Lee; Grandchildren, Connor Lee and Marley Jiles; Siblings, Michael (Laurie) Budnick, Mary (Michael) Nix, Mark (Diane) Budnick, Patrick Budnick and Joseph (Tracy) Budnick. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
We invite friends and family to join us in honoring Jean’s life and legacy. Visitation will be at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, 46530 Romeo Plank, Macomb, MI from 2-8 pm with a Recital of the Rosary at 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
