With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Michael Tikkanen, age 42, on February 27, 2025. Born on May 9, 1982, Jason was a beloved son, brother, Uncle, a dedicated surgical tech, and a cherished friend to many. He was the son of Ken Tikkanen and Theresa Stultz, and he brought joy and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jason had a zest for life that was contagious. He embraced the great outdoors with open arms, often found biking along scenic trails or casting a line while fishing. A proud fan of the University of Michigan and an avid supporter of the Lions, Jason’s loyalty extended beyond sports—he delighted in collecting memorabilia and sharing camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts. His spirit soared every time he spent time on the ocean, boating on sunny afternoons, where laughter mingled with the sound of waves.
What truly set Jason apart was his incredible compassion for others. As a key member of the Liver Transplant Team, he dedicated his career to helping people in need, embodying the very essence of kindness and selflessness. Jason helped deliver babies in labor and delivery and was known as the “baby whisperer”. He cherished his family above all, finding joy in every moment shared together, whether on vacations, during holiday gatherings, or simply enjoying each other’s company.
Jason leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Beloved son of Theresa Stultz and Ken (Nancy); cherished brother to Chris Tikkanen, Chad Tikkanen, Lyndsay Stultz, and Michelle (Joseph) Sepsei; proud Uncle to Caeden and Evelyn
