It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guy Albert Kaminski who has left this world on December 25th, 2025, at the age of 77. Born November 27, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Guy lived a full life and brought immense joy and laughter into the lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. His vibrant spirit, kind soul, and unmistakable laugh will be deeply missed by all.
Guy was raised in Hazel Park MI, the son of Albert and Virginia Kaminski, and the younger brother to Sharon. He went to Hazel Park High School and graduated in 1966. After high school, Guy went into the United States Navy, where he served his country proudly. He was very fond of his time in the Navy and would tell stories of his time stationed in Puerto Rico.
Guy married his loving wife Rose, in 1973, and had two daughters, Kristie and Carly. He cherished his family and worked hard to provide a wonderful life for him and his girls. Guy retired from Chrysler as a mechanic after 35 years and was the proud business owner of B&G Chrysler Specialists for over 30 years.
Guy loved photography and had a passion for all things electronic. He loved socializing with friends and was always the life of the party with his fun-loving spirit, infectious laugh and of course, his music.
Guy is survived by his wife Rose, daughters Kristie and Carly (Dan), their daughters Julianna and Brookelyn; his sister Sharron (Mel) and their children Greg (Laurie), Todd (Erin), and Jason (Kamie); his mother-in-law Catherine and brother-in-law Michael.
Guy inspired many who got to know him by his hard work, integrity, and fun-loving, no-nonsense personality. One of his many sayings he would often use when preaching to his family and friends on how to live their best life was “you must have balance; work hard. play hard”. A phrase that he certainly embodied and lived his life according to.
Guy did not want to have a traditional funeral when he passed and so a Celebration of Life will be planned and details will be shared once available.
