It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Graziano "Jerry" Bongiorno, who left us peacefully on August 17, 2025. Born on May 18, 1950, to Vincenzo and Licia, in Bologna, Italy, Jerry made a remarkable journey to America at the tender age of 10, marking his arrival with a quintessential first meal—a hot dog that would symbolize his adventurous spirit in embracing a new life.
Jerry was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife, Karen, whom he married on September 11, 1970, in Roseville. Together, they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter, love, and the beautiful chaos that comes with raising kids and later, showering his grandkids with affection.
A proud veteran of the Air Force during the Vietnam era, Jerry carried a sense of duty and service that extended beyond his military years. He thrived in logistics, contributing his expertise to the Auto Shows, and his passion for baking led him to own a bakery in the 1970s—a venture that brought joy to many who enjoyed his delectable creations.
An avid golfer, Jerry found solace and camaraderie on the greens, often sharing stories and laughter with friends. He lived his life surrounded by love, always prioritizing family above all else.
In honoring Jerry, let us remember his spirit, his generosity, and his unwavering commitment to family. He may have left this world, but his love and light will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Jerry. You were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
Beloved husband of Karen; loved father to Keith (Jessica) and Adam (Lauren); proud grandfather to Madelyn, Emily, Zachary, Ava, Leah, Lillian, Averie, and Emma; cherished brother to Al (Kirsten).
Joined in Heaven by his loving parents, Vincenzo and Licia, and his dear brothers Norm and Jim.
