Giuseppe Scibilia

Giuseppe “Joe” Scibilia, age 75 of Clinton Twp., passed away on November 7, 2020. Beloved husband of Josephine “Jo”, dear father of Marisa and Mariano “Mario” (Nicole), brother of Angela Stellino.

Joe was born on August 5, 1945 to Mariano and Maria Scibilia in Alcamo, Italy. On May 1, 1977, Joe and Jo were married at Holy Family Church in Detroit, Michigan. Together they had two children, Marisa and Mario. In 1979, Joe started his cement company, J. Scibilia Cement. He also ran J. Scibilia Trucking until he retired in 2010. Joe was a dedicated member of the Lodge Figli della Sicilia, Calabrese Club, Alcamese Club, Madonna dei Miracoli Association, and past vice president of the Madonna del Ponte Club. Passions in his life included gardening, growing grapes, wine-making, and curing olives. He was known for his barbecues, especially his ammoghiu. Joe also enjoyed driving his convertible Saturn Sky and vacationing. However, the most important part of his life was his family and the times he spent with them. Joe will be remembered as a dedicated family man and loyal friend to all who knew him.

Visitation to be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 2:00 -8:00 PM. Funeral service on Monday, November 23, 2020. Instate, or gathering, at 10:00 AM. Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
