Geraldine "Jeri" Nofs, age 87, died peacefully on February 25, 2024 in Chesterfield MI. Previous resident of Shelby Twp. and Caseville, MI. Daughter of the late Fred T. Harris and the late Mary (Wrobelewski/Wrobel) Harris. Loving wife of John for over 64 years. Loving mother of John (Mary) Nofs and Jill (David) Wiater. Dearest grandmother "Nana" of five. Dearest sister of the late Veronica (the late Earl) Scofield, Theodore (the late Sis) Harris, Barbara (Jack) Morris, the late Kenneth Harris and the late Thomas (Shirley) Harris.
Predeceased by half sisters Irene (Ernest) Straychuk and Helene (Anthony) Bacyinski.
Jeri worked as a secretary at the Mt. Clemens School and Adult Education for 24 years and as a volunteer at Schuerrer Hospital Auxillary in Caseville for 26 years. Jeri and John loved to travel/cruise with family and friends and to treat their grandkids to Frankenmuth, Disney and Alaska trips. She was an avid golfer and crafter and loved to gamble at the casino and play Bingo. She touched so many lives in her 87 years, and we will all try to live by her beautiful and brave example.
The visitation is March 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Lee-Ellena Funeral home in Macomb. Rosary service at 6 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Isidore Catholic Church (18201 23 Mile Rd, Macomb) instate at 9:30 A.M. and mass at 10:00 A.M. on March 4, 2024 with a private burial at Resurrection Cemetery to follow.
