Gerald "Jerry" L. Calvert

Gerald “Jerry” L. Calvert, age 88 of Macomb, passed away July 6, 2021. He was born October 31, 1932 in Detroit to Leon and Daisy Calvert. Jerry joined the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He married the love of his life Frances and together they were married for over 55 years. He loved socializing and would make friends wherever he went. Jerry would always go out of his way to help others. He cherished every moment he spent with his family, especially the greatest grandson in the world, Craig.

Loving husband of the late Frances; beloved father of Aletha (Gene) Capilla; cherished grandfather of Craig (Danielle) Capilla; loving great-grandfather of Annabelle and Nolan; dear brother of Rose Jensen; Jerry is also survived by many extended loved ones and friends including many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Leon and Daisy; his wife Frances; his siblings Leon, Henry, and Marianne.

He will be greatly missed.
