Gerald Anthony Chirco, age 78 of Mount Clemens, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 18, 1946, to Louis and Mary Chirco in Long Island City, New York, Jerry led a life filled with dedication and love. A talented wrestler in high school, Jerry's competitive spirit shone brightly as he excelled, ultimately representing his school at the State Championships. This determination followed him into adulthood when, at 19, he was called to serve his country during the Vietnam War. Jerry's commitment to serving others was evident, both during his military service and his 30 years of work at General Motors in data information, a role that took him to Michigan alongside his family in 1978.
A family man through and through, Jerry cherished his role as a loving father and a devoted life partner to Arlene for three decades. His passion for quality time with his loved ones was evident in his love for camping trips and family visits to Las Vegas, where they created memories that will endure for generations. A man of precision and planning, Jerry's organized nature was reflected in everything he did, from managing elaborate spreadsheets to coordinating family get-togethers.
Jerry's memory will forever be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail will continue to inspire those who were touched by his presence.
Beloved father of Jerry (Katie), Janine (Leon), Dan (Nicole), Jon, Jordan, Jennifer David, and Doug Menard; devoted life partner of Arlene David; proud grandfather of Landon, Dalton, Courtney, Christine, Jacquelyn, Tayelor, Dan, Ricky, Taylor, Izabella, Charlotte, Phoenix, and Cheyenne; loving great-grandfather of Evelyn, Mason, BlaekleiMae, Gwendolyn, Saige, Daniel, Ayla, Bentleigh, Parker, and Paxton; cherished brother of Joseph Chirco.
