Gasper Steve Militello, age 71 of Macomb, passed away on December 15, 2020.
Gasper was born on July 7, 1949 in Sicily to Stefano and Fara Militello. As a young boy, his family immigrated from Sicily to Canada, where Gasper would live many years. As a young man, his mother would introduce him to the love of his life, and future bride, Nancy Bommarito. The two quickly fell in love, and married in 1981. Gasper would immigrate once more, to the United States. In that same year, Gasper and Nancy opened up their own family bakery, Militello’s, in Shelby Twp. Through Gasper and Nancy’s dedication and love, their family bakery thrived and celebrated 40 years at their location. Together, Gasper and Nancy would raise four children; Stefano, Fara, Salvatore, and Agatha. Gasper’s love for his family and children knew no bounds and was his greatest joy. He was known as a loyal family man, and being with them was his world (especially the Sunday dinners they all spent together). Gasper became a proud grandfather when Gianna was born, and went onto love several more grandchildren; Santino, Massimo, MariaRosa, Olivia, Avienda, Theadora, and the youngest Henry. Spoiling the grandchildren, and supporting them in everything they did was something he loved to do. Gasper was also deeply devoted to his religion, and was a long-time parishioner at St. John Vianney with his wife.
Gasper will be forever remembered in the hearts of everyone who knew him, and never forgotten.
