With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frank Russo, who left us on December 10, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on September 3, 1946, to Roche and Grace Russo, Frank quickly became one of the most dependable and loving souls who was always there to offer help and guidance. He was our Mr. Fix-it!
Frank proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. His military service was an important chapter in his life. Though he never sought recognition for his service, his sense of duty was evident in all he did.
A devoted family man, Frank’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He could often be found cheering on his grandkids at their hockey, soccer, gymnastics, and cheerleading events—each moment bringing him immense happiness. His active involvement in their lives left a lasting impact, and together with his wife, Vicky, they created a family bond like no other.
Frank was proud of his Italian heritage, carrying the values of family, loyalty, and hard work throughout his life. His pride in his roots was evident in the way he nurtured his family and lived with a strong sense of tradition and love.
Throughout his career as a shoe buyer, Frank made many lifelong friendships. He had a deep love for the outdoors, spending countless days up north with his family, enjoying the sun, boat rides, and relaxing by the campfire. Frank enjoyed playing in family cornhole tournaments and fantasy football, relishing these opportunities to joke around, laugh, and create treasured memories with his loved ones.
Frank was happily married to Vicky for 57 years. He was a loving father to Lisa (Jay) Whiteley, Dawn Russo-Marra, and Jason (Andrea) Russo, and a cherished grandfather to Austin (Caitlin), Kaitlyn, Isabella, Dylan, Gabriel, and Makayla. He was also a dear brother to Patrina Serra and Augie Russo and was predeceased by his brother Tony Russo.
Frank was truly one of a kind, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
