Frank Joseph Gistinger

Frank Joseph Gistinger, age 84 of Macomb, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family.

Frank was born on October 15, 1937 to Frank and Kathleen Gistinger in Madison Heights, Michigan. As a young man, Frank would meet the love of his life, and future bride, Nancy Grilli, at a local drive-in in 1956. They married on May 17, 1958 in a beautiful ceremony in Royal Oak Michigan, and shared 64 wonderful years together. Frank and Nancy raised six beloved children: Jeffrey, Gregory, Dennis, Deborah, Marie, and Theresa. Frank was a wonderful father to his children and was so overjoyed to become a grandfather and great-grandfather later in his life. Frank was a proud pipefitter for many years of his life, not only enjoying the work that he did but  also working with his fellow fitter brothers. Frank was always a hardworking provider and loving family man. In his free time, Frank loved nothing more than to play golf with his friends, sons, and work mates. He also enjoyed traveling and cherished the cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean he had with his family. Frank will be forever remembered by all who loved him.

Beloved husband of Nancy Gistinger; cherished father of Jeffrey (Vicki) Gistinger, Gregory Gistinger, Dennis (Maria) Gistinger; Deborah (Randy) Chabot, Marie (Paul) Baczewski, and Theresa (Richard) Hayes; proud grandfather of 18 and great-grandfather of 15; dear brother of Alice (Joe) Badlamente. Frank is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeside Assembly of God on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 10:30 AM.
