It is with heavy hearts but joyful memories that we announce the passing of Donald Edward Tedlock, age 79, on February 9, 2026. Don, as most of us lovingly knew him, was born in Marine City on October 11, 1946, to James and Betty Tedlock, who welcomed him into this world with open arms and love.
Don bravely served his country in the Army, proudly completing two tours in Vietnam. His courage and dedication were only matched by his love for life. An avid golfer and a fan of the sun-soaked shores of Myrtle Beach, he cherished every moment spent under the sun, whether it was hitting the links or sharing laughs with family and friends.
Family meant everything to Don. He was a devoted father to Jamie (John), Jodie (Paul), Donald, and Julie (Chris), and adored being a grandfather to Lucy, Laurel, Colin, Carter, Aidan, Addison, Lincoln, and Jordan. His heart was always open, and he loved sharing a good joke—sometimes a little cheeky—bringing smiles and laughter to all around him. Don spent many evenings at Winners Bar, enjoying good company and sharing stories that often ended in laughter.
Don is predeceased by his beloved parents, James and Betty, his Aunt Mary, and his siblings, James, Mary, and George. He will be remembered not only for his humor and warmth but also for the love he gave.
