Donald Haranczak Obituary

Donald Haranczak was a wonderful husband, father, and papa. He was a family man with a big heart who loved helping people in any way that he could. Don was married to the love of his life, Josephine, on June 6th, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and adventure.

He was a devoted father to Kevin, as well as Kathy Foster and the Foster family. Don was a proud grandfather, lovingly known as “Papa” to his granddaughter Kassidy. He had a special way of teasing her—especially in the mornings when he would wake her up for school by singing, knowing she didn’t always enjoy it. Don is also survived by his sister Patricia and his beloved dog, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his sister Janet and his parents, John and Anna.

Don dedicated 30 years of his life working at Chrysler. He also proudly served his country in the military. Outside of work, his true passions shined through—he loved cars, working on them alongside his son, attending car shows and swap meets, and especially traveling to the Mopar Nationals in Ohio with Kevin and Alan, a tradition they shared for almost 40 years. He also enjoyed garage sales, estate sales, and visiting the Gibraltar Trade Center every Friday with Alan.

Don was an active member of his church, serving in the hospitality ministry where he even had tags made for the members. He was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He and Josephine shared many wonderful adventures together, from visiting his Aunt Dolores in Las Vegas, Arizona, and California, to taking cruises with friends—or just the two of them—to the Caribbean and Hawaii.

Above all, Don will be remembered for his kindness, his love of family, and the joy he found in life’s simple moments.
