Domenic Romeo Bommarito

Domenic Romeo Bommarito, age 75, of Detroit, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2024. Born on August 30, 1948, to loving parents Veto and Domenica Bommarito, Domenic was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Joyce, tying the knot on June 21, 1969. Together they raised four wonderful children, creating a legacy of love and family.

In his earlier years, Domenic proudly served in the National Guard starting in 1968, displaying his commitment to both his country and community. Outside of his service, Domenic worked as an accountant, showcasing his dedication to his profession.

Domenic always had a passion for softball. Four of his teams won world tournaments, and Domenic earned several MVP’s throughout his softball career. He had a knack for storytelling and could talk for hours on end. His easy-going nature and dedication to enjoying life were evident to all who knew him.

Among his cherished possessions were his Trans Am and his '67 Mustang, which he treasured, showcasing his love for automobiles. Domenic had a sweet tooth like no other and found joy in indulging in his favorite treats. The family often sought solace and adventure at their cottage in Port Austin, creating cherished memories that will forever be cherished.

Domenic and Joyce celebrated 55 years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. His presence brought warmth to family gatherings, always creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Domenic's memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Loved husband to Joyce; proud father to Tammy (Scott) Stamper, Tony, Nick (Ashley), and Angie (Justin) Paluschuk; beloved brother to Joe (Maria), Connie (late Lupe) Nunez, and Gene; cherished grandfather to Dean (Maddi), Devin (Lauren) B., Devin S., Gabbi, Miah, Leah, Sophia and Ellie, and great grandfather to Lilly, Gio, and Cecelia.

Joined in Heaven by his loving parents, Veto and Domenica Bommarito, and brother Bill Bommarito.
