Diane Lee Ripplinger, age 77, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on February 22, 2020.
Diane was born on August 31, 1942 to Edward and Dorothy Horn in Detroit, Michigan. She went on to meet the love of her life, Edward Ripplinger, at a church youth group. They married in 1962, and together had three children; Vicki, Kelly, and Steven. Diane had a strong desire to help others and spent many of her years dedicated to counseling women. Diane had a deep love and devotion to her faith in God, and instilled her love of Christ into her children, family, and friends. Her family was incredibly important to her, and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be forever missed.
Beloved wife of Edward Ripplinger; cherished mother of Vicki (Tony) Gonzalez, and Steven Ripplinger; loving grandmother of Aaron (Jessica) Gonzalez, Kayla (Adam) Neale, Joshua Gonzalez, Nathan (Carly) Hennig, Dominic Hennig, and Allie Ripplinger; proud great-grandmother of Carter Gonzalez, Tanner Gonzalez, Weston Neale, and Kinley Neale; dear sister of Linda (Robert) Robilliard; loving pet-mom to Bailey the cat. She was also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Diane was proceeded in death by her dear parents Edward and Dorothy Horn, sister Judith Smotel, and beloved daughter Kelly Hennig.
Visitation on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 2-9PM. Memory Sharing at 7PM.
Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home. Instate, or gathering time, 9AM. Service at 10AM.
Private family burial at Riverlawn Cemetery in Marysville, MI.
