Dennis Lee Hartwick

Dennis Lee Hartwick, age 80 of Clinton Twp., passed away on September 5, 2021.

Dennis was born on March 24, 1941 to Hambert and Evelyn Hartwick in Detroit, Michigan. As a young man, Dennis proudly joined the United States Air Force, where his love of planes and piloting began. Dennis continued to fly private planes for over 50 years after leaving the military, and would regularly fly out to Mackinac Island or Cedar Point with his family.  Dennis raised one child, Cheryl with his former wife Elaine. He later became a grandfather to five beloved grandchildren: Andrew, Brendan, Connor, Dylan, and Eric. Dennis adored his grandchildren, and loved to cheer them on during their sports games in school. Dennis was the owner and general contractor of Hartwick Enterprises, Inc., which he owned for many years before retiring. 

Dennis will be forever missed by all who loved him.

Beloved father of Cheryl (Brian) Barbara; proud grandfather of Andrew, Brendan, Connor (long time girlfriend Marisa) , Dylan, and Eric; dear former husband of Elaine Hartwick. 

Visitation to take place on Sunday, September 12 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral service to be held on Monday, September 13 at the funeral home. Instate, or gathering time, 10:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM. Committal prayers and burial at White Chapel Memorial Park in Troy, Michigan at 12:30 PM.
