Dennis Alfes

Dennis Brian Alfes, age 71, passed away Sunday October 2, 2022 with both his daughters by his side.

Dennis was born in Detroit on February 14, 1951 to Paul and Elizabeth Alfes. He married the love of his life, Diane, on May 26, 1972 and together they raised two beautiful daughters. 
He spent his working years as an extremely skilled heavy duty and small engine mechanic. There wasn’t much of anything that he couldn’t fix, make better, or even make faster. Early on, with his knowledge and skills he was able to run a pit crew at Mt.Clemens speedway.
Later in life, he would sit and enjoy playing a few hands of cards. Wether it was playing poker with family or euchre at Grady’s he was always looking to play that perfect hand. 
During the summer, you could always find him either at the Marina tinkering around or out on the water fishing .
Dennis was always that guy you count on. He was always trying to live life to the fullest and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. 
Beloved father to Dawn(Ron) and Diana (Rob); Proud grandfather to Bubba, Shelby, Joshua, Matthew, Anna, Allison, and Lily; Devoted great grandfather to Opal Marie; Cherished brother to Sharon(Michael), Judy (Dennis), and Ronald (Sherry)
Predeceased by his devoted loving wife Diane, His loving parents Paul and Elizabeth, brother Steve (Beverly) and sister Beth (Jeff)
