Dawn Louise Fredricks, age 69 of Macomb, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2023.
Dawn was born on August 10, 1953 to Robert and Marcella Melton in Flint, Michigan. Dawn graduated from Carmen High School in Flint, and went on to pursue her passion to become a teacher. For 32 years, Dawn worked for The Learning Community which she loved. After retiring from The Learning Community, Dawn worked for many years at the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene where she continued to work with children and teaching. Dawn raised one beloved daughter, Tiffany, with Randy Fredricks (who stayed great friends throughout their lives). Dawn cherished the title of being a mom, and was overjoyed to become a grandmother later in her life to her grandson Connor. In Dawn’s free time, she loved to listen to her favorite music, dance and make everyone smile with her jokes! Dawn will be forever remembered by all who loved and cared for her.
Beloved mother of Tiffany (Fiancée Jeremy Justice) Fredricks; loving grandmother of Connor Fredricks-Stebbins; cherished sister of David (Carolyn) Melton, Tina (Scott) Shepard, and Dean Melton. Dawn is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Dawn is preceded in passing by her loved parents Marcella & Phillip Moorman, and Robert Melton.
A celebration of Dawn’s life will be held at a later date.
