It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Alexander Zuzga, beloved husband and father, loving son and brother, devoted friend, and cherished member of our community, who departed this life on January 15, 2025, at the age of 35. David was born on February 20, 1989, and filled his years with joy, laughter, and love. He is survived by his loving spouse, Andrea, and children, Evelyn and Alexander, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Dave had many passions. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and gardening. His culinary talents brought family and friends together over many delicious dinners. Dave’s unwavering support for the Detroit Lions showcased his loyalty and love for his home team. He was a successful entrepreneur and dedicated 18+ years working for Jets Pizza. Above all, Dave cherished spending time with his family creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
Dave is survived by his devoted wife, Andrea; Children Evelyn, Alexander and a beautiful baby girl that will be born in June; Parents Brian and Anita Zuzga; Father and Mother-in-Law Joseph and Kathy Giganic; Siblings Christopher (Mellissa), Michael, and Emily (Trevor) Prill; Sister-in-Law Trisha (Jesse) Broeker; Brother-in-Law Aaron (Amelia) Giganic; Nieces and Nephews Michael, Lydia, Matthew, Nadia, Emma, Blake, Gavin and Aidan; Grandmother Sondra Ashmore; and many aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his pets Penny, Sophie, Ginger, Rosie and George (the tortoise).
He was predeceased by their 3 angel babies, Grandparents Edmund and Mildred Zuzga, Grandfather Charles Ashmore, and his dog Maggie.
David's family invites all who knew him to celebrate his life and legacy. A public viewing will be held on January 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home. The Rosary will commence at 5:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and family to honor David together.
A Mass in David’s memory will take place at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on January 20, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Following the Mass, a burial service will be held at 4791 N. Rochester Road, Rochester, MI 48306.
Though David's presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. We encourage everyone to come and share in the celebration of his remarkable life.
