David Sagert

David L. Sagert, age 41, passed away on August 7, 2022.

David was born on March 26, 1981 to Patricia L. Sagert & David O. Sagert in Detroit. He was raised in Hamtramck and attended St. Florian Catholic School where he was an altar boy. He was part of Troop 145 as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout. He attended Notre Dame High School and after many years of being high school sweethearts (and many formal dances) on July 16, 2004 he married the love of his life, Christine. They formed a family along with their cats Rambo (decd.), Rocky, and Adrienne. This year, Dave and Christine spent time in Marblehead, Ohio enjoying their travel trailer and the peace of the campground. Dave was never more excited than he was to become an uncle. He looked forward to any opportunity to be with his nephews and radiated with pride as he watched Franklin and Adam learn and grow over the years.Dave’s passion was riding rollercoasters and he counted down days to the opening weekend where he could enjoy time with his rollercoaster buds. Dave had a quiet (and sometimes loud) energy. He loved learning about random facts, historical topics, and gadgets and sharing the knowledge with anyone who would listen. 

David, beloved husband of Christine; cherished son of Patricia; beloved brother of Ellery; loved son-in-law to James & Rose; dearest brother-in-law of Katrina, Catherine, DeAnne, and Joseph; proud uncle of Franklin and Adam; loved nephew and cousin. David is preceded in death by his grandparents.
