David Walter Humenny

David Walter Humenny, age 73 of Macomb Twp., passed away on August 29, 2023.

Dave was born on July 2, 1950 to loved parents Walter and Kathryn Humenny in Hamtramck, Michigan. Dave would go on to graduate from Wilbur Wright High School, where his interest in drafting and automotive design started. Dave would work for General Motors for 37 dedicated years, where he was a master at his craft. It was at work that Dave would meet his soulmate, and future bride, Denise. Dave was proud of his title of ‘Dad’, and proved to be one of the best. In his free time, Dave loved to restore classic cars (owning many throughout his lifetime, and bringing them back to their full glory), go boating with his family, and traveling. Throughout his 73 years, Dave made this world a better and happier place to be in. He will be forever remembered and loved by all who knew him.

Loving husband of Denise Humenny; beloved father of David Michael Humenny (Corey Schiemck); cherished brother of Linda (Dave) Schultz, and Michael (Barbara) Humenny. Dave is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Dave is preceded in passing by his loved parents Walter and Kathryn Humenny.

Memorial visitation to take place on Tuesday, September 5 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Shelby Twp on September 6. Instate, or gathering time, 9:30 AM. Mass at 10:00 AM.
