David Gerard Budny

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Gerard Budny, age 67, who left us on September 14, 2025. Born on March 13, 1958, in Detroit to Harry and Dorille Budny, David touched the lives of many with his authentic spirit, infectious laughter, and heart of gold.

Married to his beloved wife, Lisa, David was a devoted father to three wonderful children who carry on his legacy of love and strength. A man who never shied away from speaking his mind, David was known for his refreshing honesty and warm-hearted nature.

He started his career working in restaurants and loved being an executive chef, but his true passion was found when he became a Realtor. A man of many accomplishments, Dave was a dedicated Realtor who received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. Real estate was not just a job to him—it was his passion, one he was fortunate to share alongside his daughter. Dave always went above and beyond for his clients, making it clear that to him, they were never just clients, but family. 

Beyond his love for cooking, David cherished many pastimes, including coin collecting and indulging in his favorite shows on the History Channel. He was also a fan of the bright lights of Vegas and spent countless joyful moments at the casinos, often with family by his side. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his grandkids; they were the sunshine in his life, and he took every opportunity to share stories and laughter with them.

David brought warmth and joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He valued family above all and leaves behind a loving legacy that will be felt for generations to come.

Cherished husband of Lisa; loved father of Anthony (Lauren), Amber (Jake), and Olivia (Bradley); proud grandfather to Katerina, Layla, Ella, Liliana, and Elliott; treasured brother to John (Kara), Annette (Dan), and Brian (Cindy); beloved Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Joined in Heaven by his dear parents, Harry and Dorille, and his cherished brother Gregory.
