Cynthia Anita Gawlik, age 68 of Fraser, gained her wings on June 19, 2023.
Cynthia, or as she preferred "Cyndi", was born on May 21, 1955 in Dearborn, Michigan to loving parents Chester and Helen Gawlik. She was one of four children, growing up with 2 older sisters and a baby brother. She loved unconditionally, gave with all her heart, and was truly a blessing to all who loved her. As a grandmother (or 'Sunshine' and 'Mima' as her grandkids would call her) she loved spending as much time as possible with her grandbabies watching them grow up. Cyndi was always up for a good time with friends and family, and always ensured to get them to laugh! Cyndi loved to cook and whether it was a bbq grill or a stove she would always cook up an amazing meal. You would always catch Cyndi listening to her favorite music (Motown and Bob Seger being some of her most loved) and watching her favorite television programs with Amanda (especially pro wrestling and cooking shows). Cyndi also enjoyed spending time in nature, she loved the scenery and the fresh air. She was an adoring pet owner to her many loved pets throughout her lifetime. However, the most important thing in her life was creating memories and spending time with her family. Although Cyndi's life was tough, she persevered through many obstacles and was a survivor and always came out stronger through her struggles/ What we can say is that through her 68 years. she lived life. She was warm, loving and fun! Cyndi truly made the world a better and brighter place because she was a part of it. She will be missed forever by all who loved and knew her. One thing that Cyndi would share with you "Do not weep for me, live with the same love and strength I did!"
Loving mother of Dawn Mendoza, Cynthia "PNut" (Joshua) Ortiz and Amanda Gawlik; proud grandmother of Gianni, Tiago, Noble, and Temperance; loved sister of Elaine, Gloria (Roger) Higgins, and Rodney "Buzz" (Nina); loving aunt to three nieces Melanie, Larissa, and Mikayla and a nephew, Donald.
Cynthia is reunited with her cherished son Jesse Mendoza, and her parents.
