With heavy hearts but joyful spirits, we celebrate the life of Cynthia "Cyndi" Baran, who passed away on July 17, 2025. Born on November 22, 1949, in Hamtramck to the late Henry and Mary Kondrat, Cyndi lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with love and laughter.
Cyndi shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Gerald Baran, whom she married on May 26, 1973. Together, they raised three wonderful children, who carry on her vibrant spirit. Cyndi was also a cherished grandmother to her eight grandchildren, filling their lives with joy and unforgettable memories.
A lover of adventure and good times, Cyndi enjoyed countless moments at the casino, the thrill of riding around on the golf cart at the family farm in Boyne Falls, and dancing to her favorite old CDs. Whether hosting gatherings at the farm, going on cruises, camping with family, or playing Bunco nights with friends, Cyndi's zest for life was contagious. Her enjoyment of bowling led her to proudly serve as the treasurer of her bowling league, while her adventurous side shone through in her passion for foraging asparagus and morels on the farm.
Cyndi's easygoing spirit and love for her family and friends created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone around her. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
Devoted wife to Gerald; beloved mother to Jason (Christina) Baran, Jaime (Christopher) Hosey, and Kristen (Jason) Thibault; proud grandmother to Ryan, Evan, Sean, Paityn, Ellie, Scarlett, Sofie, and Avery; loving sister to Henry (Donna) Kondrat and Margaret Lien; cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Joined in Heaven by her dear parents, Henry and Mary
