Chris John Sewell

Chris John Sewell, age 69 of Macomb, passed away on November 20, 2020.

Chris was born on June 5, 1951 to Malcolm and Nina Sewell in Highland Park, Michigan. Chris was a dedicated manager for the United States Postal Service Royal Oak branch for 42 years before retiring. It was at the post office that Chris would meet his future wife, Theresa Aquilina, in 1978. They married in 2004, and together had 16 years of love and happiness.  After his retirement, Chris would go onto working for Bill Fox Chevrolet. In his free time, Chris loved to golf with his friends, dance, watch football and hockey, and spend time with his beloved dogs: Charlie and Sophie. However, the most important thing in his life was his dear family, and the time he spent with them. Chris will be forever remembered for his sense of humor, and kind and gentle spirit.

He will be forever missed.

Beloved husband of 16 years to Theresa; loving father of Nathan, Jamie (Ross) Sturgeon and soon to arrive Baby Girl Sturgeon, Tara, and Anthony; dear brother of Janet Hamilton, Carol Newsted, Denise (Eric) Sewell-Boreczky, and Renee Sewell-Smith; and cherished uncle of Erica Boreczky, and Garrett Smith.

Memorial visitation to be held on November 28, 2020 from 2-7PM. Service at 6PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris’s memory can be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
