It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chester Jodzis at the age of 80. Known for his love and desire to provide the best for his family, sitting around a table of friends with a deck of playing cards or listening to jazz music, Chester's warm and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born on April 22, 1944, to Czeslaw and Sophie Jodzis in Germany, Chester's family moved to the United States in 1951. He was blessed with six decades of marriage to his beloved wife Barbara, whom he wed in Detroit at St. Louis the King Church on May 19, 1964. Chester retired from the automotive industry after 30 years of employment with Chrysler. Outside of work, his hobby passion extended beyond playing cards, as he enjoyed collecting coins and engaging in frequent trips with family and friends to Las Vegas.
With a sharp mind and a love for numbers, Chester often found joy in playing cards with his grandson, passing down his skills and creating lasting memories. His devotion to family and his grandchildren was evident in his daily actions.
Cherished husband of Barbara; loving father to Joseph, Jeffrey, and daughter-in-law Michele; proud grandfather to Alexandra, Brianna, Gabriala, Ellen and Ryan.
Reunited in Heaven with his wonderful parents Czeslaw and Sophie, his dear son James and his dear brother John.
