Catherine Cavazos Obituary

Catherine Cavazos passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2024, two days after her 90th birthday. She was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Margaret Cavazos and siblings Marguerite (Joe) Yohn, Martha (Russ) VanGilder, Raymond (Roberta) Cavazos, and Loretta (Stanley) Pluszczynski. Surviving sisters are Alice (Arthur) Amaya and Frances Tyler. Dearest Aunt to several loving nieces and nephews.

Her family was very important to her and she was proud of their accomplishments. Catherine worked for the Federal Government in the State Department and retired after 30 years of service. Her job took her to many countries across the world; she had an exciting career.

Catherine also was an avid college football fan. She would watch her favorite teams (the MSU Spartans and the Notre Dame Irish) and discuss the games with family the next day.

She will be missed by all.
