Brenda Orris Obituary

Brenda Kay Orris, age 85, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. Born on September 30, 1939, in Detroit to Charles and Kathrine Schueler, Brenda touched the lives of all who knew her through her warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit. Brenda was married for 64 years to her soulmate, George, who predeceased her in death. Together, they raised four wonderful daughters, who carry forward her legacy of compassion and joy. Brenda adored her family and found great fulfillment in every moment, from hosting family gatherings to cherishing quiet evenings together. An avid card player, Brenda found great joy in her weekly poker games with friends and thrived in the excitement of her occasional trips to the casino. Her love for games extended beyond cards, as she could often be found enjoying puzzles and playing other various games, where her competitive spirit shone brightly, bringing fun and laughter to every gathering.

Brenda enjoyed working and in 1999 after 20 plus years, as an associate, she retired from JCPenney. In her retirement years she enjoyed boating and traveling.

Brenda’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and joyful moments. She will be remembered fondly for her warm personality, her dedication to her family, and her ability to bring people together in celebration of life’s simple pleasures. She leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be treasured by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Beloved mother to Sheri (Greg) Provenzano, Lori (late Bob) Delaney, Debbi (Jerry) Dottavio, and Bonnie (Richard) Kimmons; proud grandmother to Cari (Christian) Goans, Glenese (Kyle) Schraeder, Autumn (John) Moheyer, Manny (Ashley) Provenzano, Alysa (Shane) Louton, Danielle (Micheal) Bailey, Marina (Josh) Randles, and Colin Kimmons; cherished great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Charles (late Julie) Schueler and sister Lynn (Randy) Stegenga.

Joined in Heaven by her loving husband, George, her dear parents Charles and Katherine, and sibling Bonnie Gatchell.
