Betty Joanne Corning, age 83, passed away on May 22, 2024.
Born on December 3, 1940, to William and Mildred Hedge in St. Louis, Missouri, Betty brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. Betty spent many years working as a beloved bartender, forming deep connections with her patrons and finding joy in her work. Her kind heart, strength of spirit, and unwavering love for her family were the cornerstones of her life. She cultivated a beautiful garden that reflected her love for nature and spent her free time savoring a glass of wine, traveling, attending plays, and listening to the timeless melodies of Frank Sinatra. Betty will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her grace and kindness. The memory of her infectious laughter and genuine compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Beloved sister of Nancy (the late John) Musico, and Linda (Jim) Salego. Betty is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation to take place on Tuesday, June 4 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home. Burial to follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
