Bertrand "Bob" Plourde

We are sad to announce the passing of Bertrand “Bob” Plourde. He passed away at 91 surrounded by love on February 4, 2023.   

  Bob was born to Philippe and Yvonne Plourde on May 22, 1931 in Detroit. He met the love of his life, Evelyn, and the two were married on April 3, 1954, and together, they raised five wonderful children. Bob was a family man, and he was a devout Catholic. He enjoyed going bowling in his younger years and playing softball. Bob loved travelling with his wife and family in their RV, enjoying beer and laughter. Bob served in the Korean War as a boom operator, while he enlisted in the Airforce.  There, he found he enjoyed lifting weights, Judo, and boxing. Bob loved to play cards, especially Euchre and Pinochle.  He was an expert swimmer and ensured there was a large backyard pool for the family.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.   

  Cherished father to Gail (Jeffrey) Jordan, Mark (Cynthia) Plourde, Rebecca (Joseph) Samojedny, Therese (Michael) DeLeeuw, and Janine (Kenneth) Miles. Beloved brother to Maryanne (David) Murbach and Margaret Bellamy; proud grandfather to Robert (Amy), Tim (Hannah), Eileen, Janine (Ian), Krista (Herb), Stacey, Shelby, Mason, Ashlyn, Damian (Courtney), Randy (Samantha), Matt (Renee) and Patrick (Lesley). Loving Great-Grandfather to Evelyn, Felicity, Benjamin, Elliot, Abigail, Chase, Danny, Marley, Laina, Lilah, Layla, and Riley.
