Benjamin Trapp Obituary

I thank my God for every remembrance of you
-Philippians 1:3-

Benjamin Franklin Trapp, 43, passed away suddenly, in his home, in Harrison Township, MI on December 23, 2020.

Born May 8, 1977, in Detroit, Ben was a Carpenter and used his skills to build everything from luxury homes to beds for his kids. He was a devoted and loving father, had a big sense of humor, was a great cook and loved music. He was blessed with and loved by many wonderful friends.

He is survived by his children Lily, Aiden and Christian Trapp; his brother Timothy Trapp; his mother and step-father Lynda (Turnbull) and Joe Grimm; and Jen Denis, with whom he was in a long term relationship. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles Robyn (Jonathan) Weidemann; Michael (Cheryl) Trapp; Woody (Ann) Trapp; and numerous cousins and extended family.

He is pre-deceased by his father Christopher Trapp; his grandparents Cecil & Dorothy Turnbull and Woodrow & Rose Trapp; and his cousin Adam Trapp.

A private cremation will be held. When circumstances allow us to all be together again there will be a Memorial Service. Family and friends will be notified at that time.

In lieu of flowers - call and visit your grandparents; spend time with your parents and family; seek out that old friend you’ve been meaning to call; mend fences and foolish quarrels. We are not guaranteed more tomorrows.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
-Isaiah 41:10-
