Annette Leone Obituary

Leone (Thorpe) Annette passed October 28, 2021, at the age of 78 in Macomb, MI.

Born November 15, 1943, in Warren, MI to Henry and Beulah (Tribble) Thorpe. Graduated from Lincoln High School (Warren) in 1962 and Michigan State University in 1966 with a degree in education. She continued her education at Wayne State University and Saginaw Valley State University, earning a double master’s degree in education. She taught elementary and middle school in Warren Con. Schools for 34 years. In 1927 she married Thomas Leone at St. Clements Catholic Church in Centerline, Michigan. She enjoyed travelling the country watching her daughter Alicia playing tennis tournaments. In 1985 she was diagnosed with lupus and vasculitis. She struggled with health problems but didn’t let it stop her from living a full life.

Survived by her grandchildren Taylor Annette McLaughlin, Troy Thomas McLaughlin, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas-2018, daughter Alicia Danielle Leone-2021, her parents her loving sister Donna Young (Carl), and brother Tim Thorpe (Jackie).

Inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp. Michigan.
