Amelia Cortez Obituary

Amelia Cortez passed away on December 13, 2022. 

Amelia was born on January 1, 1943, in the Philippines to Ladislao and Adeling Landas. She married the love of her life, Rodolfo, on February 14, 1970, and together they moved to Detroit in 1972. They raised two wonderful sons, Rod (Emily) and Romel (Stacey).  Their grandchildren are Jude, Victoria, Abby, Sam and Lyla. Amelia is one of 5 siblings. Amelia obtained her Nursing Degree from the Far Eastern University in Manila. In 1968, she pursued her Master's Degree in Nursing  at the Philippine Women's University.Amelia worked as a Professional Nurse for over 30 years!!

She is joined in Heaven by her loving parents Ladislao and Adeling, brother Senan, and sisters Leticia and Delia.
