Allen Arthur Jahnke

Allen Arthur Jahnke, age 79 of Macomb, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2020.

Allen was born on February 6, 1941 to Arthur and Elenora Jahnke in Cleveland, Ohio. As a young man, Allen attended Valparaiso University in Indiana where he not only earned his Bachelors of Business degree but also met the love of his life and fellow student, Barbara Ann Klei. They quickly fell in love, and married on August 21, 1965. Throughout their 54 years together, Allen and Barbara raised one daughter; Jennifer. Allen worked for many dedicated years as a systems analyst manager in the IT field at Federal Mogul, before retiring. In Allen’s free time, he loved to play a few hands of cards, especially poker with his friends. He also enjoyed golfing and sports. However, the most important thing in his life was the time he got to spend with his family and dear friends.

He will be forever missed.

Devoted husband of Barbara Ann Jahnke; beloved father of Jennifer (Joel) Rizk; proud grandfather of Lauren Rizk, and Brett Rizk; cherished brother of Judith Keller; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private to the family. Burial will take place at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia. A celebration honoring Allen’s life will be held at a later date.
