Alice Victoria Hachigian, age 94 of Macomb, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2023.
Alice was born on February 15, 1929 to loving parents Albert and Mary Kasabach in Cleveland, Ohio. As a young woman, Alice would meet the love of her life, and future husband, Edward Hachigan, while enjoying time with the family at her Uncle’s cottage. They would go on to marry in 1949, and together would raise two beloved children: Edward, and Gary. Family meant the world to Alice, and she was so overjoyed when she became a grandmother and great-grandmother later in her life. For many years, Alice taught home-ec at schools in Michigan and for twenty years in Florida. Alice was very active in her churches she belonged to during her lifetime before her health prevented her to do so. Her faith was extremely important to her, and something shared with her family. Alice also was a strong supporter of Veterans, and those who have served our country. In her free time, Alice loved to read and was a wonderful cook and baker (especially her Armenian specialties she would make!) Alice will be forever remembered by all who cared and loved her.
Beloved mother of Edward (Equiella) Hachigian, and Gary (Patricia) Hachigian; cherished grandmother of Edward (Marcia), Vincent (Hanady), John, Jeffrey, Ara, Rachel and Alexandra; proud great-grandmother of Jasmine, Natalie, Eddie, Vinnie, Michael, Summer, Benjamin, and Nicholas; dear sister of Jeanne (Russell) Arslanian; loving aunt of Jill (Papken) Maksoudian, Lynn (Michael) Moraites, and Ara Arslanian; loved cousin of Joan Swain (Kasabach), Marcia Kasabach, and Mr. and Mrs. Hiag Kasabach.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, and brother.
