Sandy Whaley Obituary

Sandy Karen Whaley, of Sterling Heights, passed away on January 6, 2020.

Sandy was born on July 23 to Frank and Eve Sako in Detroit, Michigan. Later, Sandy met her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Bill Whaley. Together they had two daughters; Nicole and Brandi.

Sandy loved to go camping, especially in Mackinac, with her beloved husband and family. She also enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her many friends. Sandy had a intense love for life, and was always the first person to show up to a party and the last to leave! One of the most important things in Sandy’s life was her four grandchildren; Ava, Lucas, Logan, and Kayla. She would never miss any type of event that her grandchildren were in and supported them in anything they did. Sandy’s vivacious spirit, warm heart, and infectious laugh will be missed by all.

Beloved mother of Nicole (Rick) Faubert, and Brandi Whaley; cherished sister of Dee (Ken) Donnellon and family; proud grandmother of Ava, Lucas, Logan, and Kayla;  and loving owner of Lulu.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Bill Whaley.

Visitation on Saturday, January 11 from 2-9PM.

Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be on Sunday, January 12, 2020. Instate, or gathering time, 10AM. Service at 11AM.
