Lawrence Alfonsi

Lawrence Alfonsi, age 96 of Macomb Twp., passed away on January 5, 2020.

Lawrence was born on October 4, 1923 to Augusto and Marie Alfonsi in Detroit, Michigan. As a young man, Lawrence proudly served his country in the Army Airforce. During his time in the service, he was stationed in the South Pacific on Project Ivory Soap where he would box in his spare time. Lawrence went on to marry the love of his life, Rose Marie. Together they had three children; Robert, Richard, and Kathleen. During his lifetime, Lawrence worked for Chrysler where he went to retire from as a supervisor. After retirement, Lawrence enjoyed spending time with his dear family and beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will be forever missed.

Beloved father of Robert (Susan), Richard (Kathryn), and Kathleen (Timothy); dearest grandfather of Loren, Carman (Lisa), Jannette (Eric), Wesley (Jennifer), Elizabeth (Ben), Bridget (Wayne), Patrick (Nichole), Jason (Meredith), Jeremy (Toni), and Jacqueline (Joseph); loving great-grandfather of Taylor, Isabella, Jonathon, Jacob, Jessica, Savannah, Annie, Nicklaus, Clare, Brynnley, Connor, Griffin, Caitlin Rose, Emma, Madeline Rose, Mackenzie Rose, Emma, Joseph, O'Hara, Jaimison, and Joshua. 

Proceeded in death by the love of his life, his wife Rose Alfonsi.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 10th at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Harrison Twp. Instate, or gathering time, 10:30 AM. Mass at 11:00 AM.
